About Us

Alison Young is a third generation beauty and skincare business specialist. Her mother and step-father own and operate a well-known chain of beauty stores, importing and distributing beauty products throughout South Africa. Her grandmother was also a recognised holistic therapist. As a result, Alison grew up with a passion for holistic therapies and is qualified in skincare, reflexology, aromatherapy, massage, nail care and professional make-up artistry.

Alison created Young Elements, after spending many years working in the holistic health and wellness industry. Having worked in some of the top wellness spas in Gauteng as well as on cruise-liners in the Caribbean and Mediterranean, Alison is experienced in all aspects of personal well-being and believes in one-on-one therapeutic procedures, communication and client care.

The Products

Young Elements uses only Esse Organic Skincare products for skin therapy. Esse is for people that want to use effective, healthy and natural products that protect their skin as much as their environment.

These products are formulated using Africa’s incredible plant diversity. The products are packaged in recyclable glass and all products are 100% biodegradable.
All Esse products are certified organic by Ecocert France and Cruelty Free by Beauty without Cruelty, which means that products are not tested on animals and no ingredients are sourced from suppliers who do. The products are tested for skin sensitivity on human volunteers and results have shown that Esse products are less irritating to skin than distilled water. Esse is also endorsed by the Vegan Society, which means that no animal-derived products are used in the range.
